Our Agency
Our agency began with Steve Nuttall and his brother, Carl Nuttall, working with Equitable from 1982 through 1992. After 10 years with Equitable they joined Mass Mutual and managed the upstate for 11 years. Steve then opened Nuttall Insurance Agency with his brother in 2003 and has been an independent agent in Seneca, SC. By starting their own agency, they became independent agents and along with that came huge changes to their approach to business. Most large direct salesforce companies have strict guidelines for sales quotas and what products that they want moved. At Nuttall Insurance Agency there is no pressure to sell a specific product or a rush to meet a quota which is what sets us apart from other agencies. We include a variety of industry professionals that assist in assessing each client’s specific needs to determine and craft the best solution for our clients. We see our clients are more than customers, we value each as our friend and family.
Our Experience
Nuttall Insurance Agency has over 75 years of expert customer service experience providing specialized insurance services to individuals, professionals, and groups through the Southeastern United States. At Nuttall Insurance Agency we offer a variety of specialized insurance programs involving employee benefits, individual health plans, Long Term Care, Medicare planning, estate/financial planning and retirement programs. We have been highly successful writing small, medium and large businesses after winning the trust of the individual professionals we have helped.
In 2020 Steve and Carl developed their long-term plan for the agency. This included hiring their niece, Caroline Snellings. Caroline has worked her way through the agency and learned from Steve and Carl’s 50 years of experience. With Carl’s passing in 2021, she has learned how the agency works, she knows the companies we represent and their product offerings, but most importantly she knows our customers. Caroline will transition into the agent in charge and will own the agency when Steve retires.
In addressing the needs of our clients, Nuttall Insurance Agency employees utilizes the best expertise available to solve the problem. Our philosophy is to define the problem and then seek out the best advice and solution for that problem for our client. We bring a wealth of experience that has been especially creative in meeting the increasing demands of a rapidly changing employee benefit market.
